Our Mission

Overall mission

Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and hopeful home for underprivileged children, giving them the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive regardless of the circumstances into which they were born.

Shelter and care

Today, our Yayasan cares for 12 children. We provide family-like care, emotional security, guidance, and encouragement. We want every child to feel valued and protected, and to build confidence and reach their potential.

Education

Education is central to our work. We aim to give each child a good education, practical life skills, and chances to discover strengths and ambitions. A stronger start helps children build confidence, independence, and a brighter future.

Community

Our mission also reaches beyond the children in our care. We seek to support the wider community through compassion, partnership, education, and practical help, helping families and neighbours build safer, healthier, and more resilient lives together.

Who We Are

We are a community-based foundation located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, dedicated to creating a safer and brighter future for children in our local community.

Our work is centred on supporting children who have had limited access to the opportunities, stability and care that every child deserves. We currently provide a safe and supportive home for 22 underprivileged children, helping to meet their everyday needs while giving them the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.

Education is at the heart of what we do. Alongside housing, we provide access to schooling, learning support, guidance and the practical assistance each child needs to build confidence and develop their potential.

As a locally rooted organisation, we believe lasting change begins within the community. Through compassion, education and consistent support, we aim to give vulnerable children the foundations they need to build independent, hopeful and fulfilling futures.

Our vision

Our long-term ambition is to grow our capacity from 12 children to 200 while maintaining the warmth and personal care of a true family environment. We aspire to develop our own healthcare services, school, sports facilities, and mental-health support, creating a complete environment where children can heal, develop, and succeed.
